    Madness in the Makairo track

To day a couple mates in the rapa ask me to join them on casual ride, to the northern roads around wairarapa...
KTM 640, BMW 650X, AND the safari slut, DR650
    yea why not i say...

so we headed off for the day.

as usual we hit the gravel roads around mauriceville, and then headed for pori, and on to coonoor, and in to the makairo track....

we started to head back out towards pahiatua.

tack is in good condition, and seams to have been cleared of a few trees.

a good slip about half way down.. had been cut through..

all going good till the shit hits the fan....

650 X on its side and rider tumbling down the bank....

i drop my bike and run to catch the beemer before it falls down the bank..

    shite.....

cant see him down in the trees... calling out you ok, mate.. YEA F#$*k IT. he climbs back up....

Too many shots of bikes on their sides. People might get the impression you don't actually ride them.

EDIT: Hey! What's with changing the handguards? How are we going to recognise your bike now?

Nice one guys. I've had a similar experience in there. Bike teetering on the edge, and me about 2 metres down the bank.

If the weather holds out, I might shoot through the Makairo this arvo. About time I tried the black beast through there.
Showing off for the camera since ages ago
