Motomail's new website- Adventure section

Motomail has redesigned their website and I see Adventure is now a section straight from the front page.

The Adventure page carries a blurb about how they stock lots of adventure riding gear and links to their stock categories, and in their stock categories they have Adventure sections now.

My take on that is the market/demand is NZ is getting large enough for dealers to take notice. Hopefully that means a better range of gear for us.

Must admit I agree with Andy, I used too use Motomail a bit but last time I was in there it was all clothing and no motorcyclists, it's a bit like Deus ex Machina, a cafe with a motorcycle theme.

I was just taking a look at some gear. Like that fancy zoom feature they have. Just by rolling over the picture you can get a better look. That is something that has always frustrated me about buying online is not been able to get a good look at the thing your buying. Some online shops don't even bother. Well done motomail.

I take your point but I'm not someone known for bitching & moaning, so when I do it's with good reason. Motomail started off with a good range of gear & accessories and has slowly taken it's market focus to a themed cafe with scooters everywhere. I understand thats where their market is and don't have a problem with it, I just refuse to get excited when they stock 4 helmets and some riding gear.

Yeah it's good that they are starting to take notice. Some good gear there from the looks of it, but I still feel the prices are a bit steepish. 60 bucks for some socks?

I definately don't disagree with your summary of where they have decided their target market is, having shopped there on and off since since the early days I agree it's not what it used to be and now fails to serve many of my own needs as a M/C accessory store, like myself you also have a right to your own opinion.

However it gets tiresome quickly when any thread where someone is trying to put some information out in the open arena that they feel may have some value or interest to other users but the poster makes the mistake of mentioning that store, suddenly the intended point of the original post is lost and the thread degenerates into a slag fest of how it's not what it used to be.

I've seen it time and time again in other peoples threads and it looks like this one is destined for the same fate.

I sent the results to a few of the importers too.

Motomail is cool. Friendly people, service and meet up for coffees and rides.

I also like the range of clothing and accessories as it is.
The guys that used to go there for a clutch cable for an XL250 are disappointed.
They will still get that stuff in.

Just imagine if you will, all our nice, quiet gravel backroads, clogged with bored and disillusioned, ex tarmac terrorists

Just noticed a helmet I'd never heard of before,RJays Dakar.
Found some pics and thought,that looks familiar.Leaned around the computer table to look at my FFM TX10 and sure enough,they're the same design,except the FFM doesn't have a visor.
Got me thinking as to wether the RJays visor will fit in my TX10
