Looking at the route there are road works in Lyttelton on Simeon quay with a diversion in place.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Basically head up Dyers, turn left onto Summit Rd the down into Lyttleton, around the bays and back over Dyers to the Twisted Hop.

A longer option would be: google map

    What say ye?
50km is not really long enough is it?? will be over in half an hour. Go the longer option!

Hmmm...is it bad? There's kind of no avoiding that road if we go through Lyttleton

Do you have something against diversions?

Well that would depend on the diversion. For example: I'd have no complaints about a woman flashing me so someone else could sneak past me but I wouldn't like being kicked in the balls for the same effect...

    the diversion is tiny.

there is however a patch of grit on the diversion, but speed is down to 30 through there so there's no reason anyone should be going wide or anywhere near it.

I think we'll go the full wets route and end up at the hop.

That sounds like a scheme so cunning you could tie a tail on it and call it a weasel
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Going to open it up in a couple of weeks but it looks like the powervalve has decided to get friendly with the piston.

Interestingly enough that seems to be the case with the RGV right now too.
