Noobs and Chicks, the smell of summer in the air...

Well, spring must have sprung; and with the oncoming promise (or false hope) of a warm dry summer on the horizon, loads of people are dusting off their summer bikes.

In addition to the fair weather riders who wobble a bit for the first few weekend outings on their shiny steeds (theirs are shiny, my poor Scoot is grey with road spooge from winter commuting), there are a heap of Noobs on the roads.

Sitting in the cage this morning, I counted 7, yes 7, L plates within sight at the same time.

Some have little confidence, the others ride with reckless abandon, good helpings of throttle making up for the skills they don't have yet. But, it's most fucking excellent to see many out there on two wheels. You never know, this biking fad may catch on. Ahem.

One other thing, I keep seeing a hottie on a yellow Honda 250 riding through the Viaduct. She has nice eyes and the unmistakable physique of someone hot. She rides regardless of weather, and makes me smile each time I see her circumnavigating the slow assed cages along the stretch behind Voda. Two thumbs up.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

I'm a noob but not a fair weather rider. :0 I've so far had two long rides in the sun, the rest it was cloudy and/or raining. XD

It's a bit like a present. You can't quite tell what you getting till you take the wrapper off. Sometimes it's better when the wrapper is left on.

    I'm a noob on a 900. Scary!

I did see someone the other day madbikeboy, just like you talk about - the unmistakable hawt waistline swathed in tight leather, rear set pegs, just the thing to highlight her body, and on something over 400cc's - a very sexy combination !

Ah yes, there's something in the air peeps (mostly rain in Taranaki) Spring is indeed threatening to break out and about time too.

It won't be long before I have the physique of someone hot, flapping my legs round in the wind, one handed jacket unzipping and the inevitable fight to locate the air vents on my helmet whilst sat in traffic but I'm guessing that's not the hot that you allude to eh.

I generally don't speculate about the genders under the wrapping any more, between you and me, I've got it wrong a couple of times It's a bloomin dissapointment when the beard starts to show from under the chin guard. I blame the skinny blokes, if every one was a big fat bastard like me there would be no embarrassing gender specific errors and I could just concentrate on important things like is their bike better than mine
    Oh bugger

    - Photo or it never happened.
    - Time and place so other riders can join you.

    - There's nothing hotter than a (my) lady in leathers. And she loves riding with me.

No. Trust me. Much better with the wrapping off.

If there is one thing that is better than owning a motorbike it's having a wife who loves bikes. Given a choice I'd always take the later.

Mostly rain huh? It's mostly BUGS here....

I cleaned the bike last weekend (now that's rare!). Two rides later the bug spooge all over the front is again two feet thick...may as well have saved myself the effort...

Talking of new riders, today I say 5 x Suzi Bergers.

You don't see that many of them however today they were all over the place.

Maybe this is a new trend?

And it wan't insane1, 'cos you can hear his new exhaust from 2km away.

Looked out for you today YellowDog along the lonely track, but I was probably up too late.

Talking of which even with spring in the air the track was wet, so I decided to put into practice what I read list night from my shinny new 'Twist of the Wrist' book. I observed stuff paying particular attention to finding markers on the side of the 'track' - a blue post box, ah a read one around that corner. Problem was I was spending too much of my $10 on marks that I went into one corner at 30kph in stead of 25kph, when my attention turned back my front wheel was about 1 inch from the white line and I was seriously scouting out which line to take through the grass It was all good though as it was a relatively slow pootle and I just slowed a little and leaned a little more.

Gota love the 'track' though, it has lots of interesting camber changes and surface changes and gravel and blind corners and and and...

Yep, nice to see summer is on the way.

In an act of shameless self promotion, I am celebrating this by releasing the final track in the Fatt Max Biking Trilogy entitled Summer Bikin'. Yet another collaboration with Big Dave and presented by Kiwirider
