    Well Happy Birthday! for yesterday

Those scales were bought for the garage and almost never see the kitchen When cooking, near enough is good enough; but when weighing bike doo-dads I want good data

    battery

Sorry to hijack the thread, but one of my staff needs a new battery for his 950 supermoto. The yuasa number is ytz14s. ytz14 is common but the s stands for short as it is a bit shorter to fit the katooms.

Does any of you ktm guys know where to get em a bit cheaper than the dealer.

    Thats it as you were.

Try batterydirect; their prices are supposed to pretty good. Haven't used them myself but they've been commended to me. Haven't used them because the battery for the 640A is a YTZ10S... yep, the most expensive one listed at $367, another "S" variant that's shorter than all the others.

Comparing prices on a USA site, the 640A battery is US$225, the 950SM is US$265. That means the 950SM Yuasa battery is likely NZ$425-450 from batterydirect, if they can get it.

If no-one has a ready answer, try Orange Crush to see if there is a known alternative. There are a couple of much cheaper batteries (like half price) of similar or better quality, that have dimensions that can be made to fit the 640A.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Cheers, he has had a pretty good look through the book and hasn't really come up with much yet. Considering we are a century yuasa agent he thought we could get one easy as, but that little "s" is a bit special.
I may just lookk into it tomorrow for him.

BTW he is selling the sm if anyone is interested.

Heaps of stuff on the ADV orange crush thread about this assuming it is the same battery as in the ADV models - a specific thread about batteries even. Damn expensive battery but I think a honda goldwing battery will fit but I'd check that our first.

    Cheers R
