YZ 250 or KTM 250 EXC for enduro/X-country

ive noticed that for some reason the 4strokes are usually cheaper than the 2 strokes, when buying 2nd hand.

I agree but they're mostly Japanese. An 07 KTM with only 60 hours on it for this price is very rare.

200s are good fun not sure fairly smooth in the higher gears but mine seems very snappy/touchy in the lower gears from a closed throttle I have left the trail a couple of times by acident on the back wheel by giving it a little gas when reaching for the brake. it loves to be thrashed but will quite happlily run a gear high just on the edge of the pipe

Agree the 200s are hard to come by, I was lookin but couldn't find one. Happy with the 250 tho

haha cables adjusted all the way out though I did check just have to activly hold it closed lol

Turn the power valve back/out 1/2 a turn Tommo!
That'll take you 30 seconds and fix your problem! Flipping magic the adjustable power valve in the two hundreds!

Ps don't forget to unwind the locking bolt first?

PSS: can't remember what year yours is but if it is a later one an has the dual curve ignition box go buy the switch for it (not the $70 Ktm one the $25 one from Triple X) and wire that in as well. I have mine hard against the grip, within thumb reach, and use it frequently!

heres one,the guys at boyds motorcycles are a good bunch of buggers too. im sure if you walked in there with cash youd get a good price. plus they are real quiet too
