Why Are We Glorifying A Thief?

Well have wadded my way through all these post and am left with this feeling:

Why Are We Glorifying A Fucken Thief?

This stupid fucker steal a bike (I would be fucken pissed off had the bike been mine). Then does a runner put others at risk (innocent people have died because off wankers like this). What do I read:

"All I can say is , at least the theif had good taste."

"pretty lame, he only pulled 150k apparently. Softcock. No wheelie action for the camera, no rude gestures to the cops, didn't even speed up for the school zones."

"Yea thats cool dude, that guy is a legend!"

"the owner was bloody funny going on about how he would have loved to have done it himself"

"The owner even had a kind of addmiration for the dude that stole his bike. Said how he could imagine the thrill the guy got from riding like that."

Stop glorifying the scum. I for one have no admiration for the prick. Would love to give him a good kick in the goolies What a wanker.

Well said RiderInBlack. Having had a bike stolen once I hate all thiefing bastards and well done the police taking an interest in helping the victim out. If they didn't respond it would be another media bashing session on the lack of Police action. No doubt someone will moan that they risked lives chasing him - more justification that Police should be allowed to just shoot thieves and leave the planet a better place for the rest of us. See how bitter having your bike stolen makes you.
And to whoever was asking it was a Honda 900 Fireblade circa 96 model I think.

I was listening to the police comms for that chase - he was being tailed by helicopter, but the cars had backed off (and even then I think only two had managed to get behind him) - he went into the casino carpark, dumped the bike near the lifts, took off jacket and helmet and went straight to the gaming floor.

They had no idea what he looked like, and by the time they got onto casino security, it was too late...

That's about the only way you'd get away from the helicopter really.

The Auckland Police helicopter is an AS355 with a top speed of around 125kts or about 230Km/h -- In a straight line on a very good bike, you might out run it, but people don't normally run in straight lines I'd say.

Um, dude if you read that right you'll see that I wasn't talking about me. The owner was like that. I think the guy is a fuckin wanker who needs more than just a few months jail time. He should be glad the cops caught him instead of another group of bikers cause there would have been a hospital visit after that.

Police or no Police, you are a temporary form of life.
Sorry to add more, but just to clarify some stuff..

Me and spud where having a play all in good fun

And I would never ever in my entire life steal a bike, I would never resort to such a low form of life, I have no respect for the thief and all those dorks who do that pick in go thieving, pisses me off.

And in all seriousness I would propably never do a runner - I just know I would crash, preferr to loose my licence for a year than write off my bike...

But seriously the only reason I had abit of respect for him was the fact that he didnt wreck the owners bike, because that would have hurt the owner then, and the fact that the prick is in jail now for being an arse hole..

We shouldnt really condol such actions of course, but its abit contradictory to say that if you have done it yourself or would do it, food for thought I guess..

But if you steal a bike and I'm behind you I will rip out some 'Sega road rash 3D' on you.

edit: spud hope you get on two again soon!

You cant outrun the copter, even if you can gain a few miles per hour on the straightline the copter can still keep you in vision by gaining height. Therefore improving its long range vision.

And if you are straightlining like a rocket train your predictable to normal pursuit vehicles so they can keep a pretty good fix on where you are and where your going. The secret of outrunning the cops is not to try outrunning them in Auckland, or pick a really cloudy day.

You can dodge the cops cruisers, it is posible to out run the copter but there is one thing that no bike is faster than, someone may have said it in this thread already but it's radio waves. All the cops have to do is get on the horn and set up you and your bikes description and direction you headed and then you'll have 20 of them sittin on the road ahead of you. My advise, DON'T RUN.
