I needed a gun with me.It wasnt to be my day for wildlife, about 5 km after the lambs a Pukeko lifted off, swung right instead of left. Bad choice!! It hit my mirror (lucky it didnt brake it as its new), bounced off that into my shoulder. Bloody hell !! What next. Things happen in 3's so they say and I spent the rest of the day wondering what would be next.

Yes a good day in the Naki indeed, Two Beemers and a Triumph did the loop the opposite way round (no not sitting backwards on the bike ) and passed you fine bunch of gentlemen around the top of the Te Hora saddle. We went right to Ohura then back across the Waitaangas.
    Good fun all round

We had to give him some counselling after the Kiwi Rd. He didnt believe we still had roads like it in NZ let alone the dynamic Naki

    Steve your time starts now.......!!!!!!
Howdee Mike and fellow KBers - yes that School Bus Shelter and my 'ole faithful bimmer 'rubber ducky' had a minor altercation as I went into that corner too hot - distracted thinking 'how could they have sealed this excellent section of gravel!!!!!' by which time I was at the intersection began to take the left fork before realising Mt Damper is to the right. In that moments distraction followed by indecision I was in the pea gravel remaining from recent sealing working hard to stay upright - I came to a stop with a 'whump' as I collided with the bus shelter. I stepped off without a scratch - sadly same can't be said for the screen and tank of Rubber Ducky which connected with the shelter - ah well all part of the growing patina of my faithful GS
