Luck ain't got nuffin' to do with it.

He took a wodge of (presumably) hard-earned cash and bought a bike with it. More the result of his own labours than any good fortune.

Edit: well that was mental, posting almost the same thing as jr at the same time.
No doubt he is a hard-working middle-aged bastard , but luck has also had a part to do with it. You can't deny that luck or chance plays a significant part in life. He's lucky to be at a point in his life that he can afford to buy a lovely, new, lovely R6.

I can't help but grin thinking about getting a new bike like that, it must be like being a kid again .

Good on you Jim, you are about to become a bloody legend again. There is something special about letting your heart rule your head if you can get away with it, and you have! I know the GSX was the most sensible choice for you at the time you bought it however I did wonder how long the relationship would last (felt kind of like when a mate is going out with some bird that you think is totally wrong for him).
    pretentious moi?

But I like yellow chicks with plush seating!

Don't know about legend, but I am expecting to be a cripple until I adapt.

So it's a normal weekend for you then, just like the other 51 weekends of the year.
Well done Jim giving into the urge and to hell with the mortgage. My new motto - don't just leave the Kids the house, a house is not a home without a mortgage to repay. They'll appreciate the gift more having to pay for it themselves.

Yeah it sure is a buzz getting a brand new bike. Bugger about the running in, but do it right.
This mid life crisis is a beaut excuse. How many times can we use it before the woman catches on?

You sick puppy, I think you need professional help. We all know that throwing a leg over a lithe red head, preferably Italian is far more satisfying (we are still talking about bikes aren't we?).
