As I do not own a computer of my own, I have to use the company one. As part of company policy we are forbidden to use chat sites. But for some reason I have managed to access this one. Is there anyway I can keep using it without being detected.?

I wouldn't really class this as a chat site.. I think they'd just block the big ones like msn and yahoo chat, so as long as you don't draw too much attention to yourself at work for sitting on this site all day long, you should be fine![]()
A forum is not quite the same as a chat site. But your company may still have a policy restricting your use of the computer for non-business purposes. Your staff manual should make it clear, or you could have a discreet word with your IT person. Be aware of the fact that some companies monitor their employees' web browsing.![]()
Yeh isn't this like a post is an email that you send it's not like intant messaging you have to refresh to see them
what if I keep emptying cookies and history, does this make any difference

Nah that won't make any difference, they'll still be able to see the pages you're going to on the internet, but as long as you don't spend hours a day on it, then they shouldn't see it as being anything out of the ordinary, so probably wouldn't bother looking into it.
It covers your tracks but unless they go looking or have some sort of searching software you should be fine
Just a thought is there some way you can swing it so that you are using this site for research or info or something for work that would be a great idea researching biker forums![]()

CHH would be the same as FCF, FCF just had half it's emailing employees given a written letter for emailing "so they say" offenisve material, but thats emailing the same subject around that they traced.
I scan KB from work a couple of times a day, if someone asks what am doing, I just say it's my smoko time.
Technically, this site is classified as webpages (browsing), therefore if your workplace doesn't restrict you from accessing any (inoffensive) webpage or personal browsing, you're safe.
However, the images posted in here can sometimes belong to sexually offensive class, so you'll have to take that into equation.

Also, as a warning - in most cases, nothing you can do on your personal computer will erase the record of your usage. Most companies with more than a fews computers will be using an centralised proxy server. All your web activities will be logged through that server. It's at this level that most companies will monitor usage.
For the most part, don't spend ages on the site. Try to do it during break times and avoid any subjects that look like they might contain offensive material.
