Smile Akaroa to Ch Ch Sunday = Nice Ride

The Road was a Ten and the traffic minimal , especially over the Hilltop Road, thanks to all the guys that nodded or thumb's up at me going the other way on my black 'Busa back from Akaroa. Funny I was the only one heading for town ( ? ) , a great day for a ride ...indeed

Eh-up! Thought I heard you go out. Didn't get a ride out Sunday as I was minding the baby. Had a good run out that way Saturday though.

Garage is nearing completion. Should be done tomorrow.

Bugger - mine sat in the garage all weekend - kids sports Saturday, and my Fathers Day ride ended up with a 6am start to go with my son to the "What Now" studio for the Morning. By the time I'd visited my Father in the arvo I flagged the idea of a ride.

I noticed riders being particularly 'wavy' on that Sunday heading south thru Motukarara towards birdlings flat. In fact at one stage 4 or 5 bikes vigourously waved to me and I thought, gee thats nice for a change...while waving back. Then one guy chucked his right foot off the peg and I thought 'ello....and yup sure enough dirty little mufti parked on the shoulder a km down the road.

Now dont get me wrong, I appreciate the warning but found 'waving' difficult to interpret...I just thought all yas were a friendly bunch!
Personally I prefer the 'pat the dog' signal to slow up or look out. The race guys recognize the foot off the peg signal....or is he just stretching his leg??

Cocking the leg - I always thought they were just making 'adjustments' down there on the fly ......

I'm kind of old school and just flash the headlight.

I always find I need to stand up on the pegs a bit for that..might be a size issue.
