    Muh Holiday

Friday 9th.... Arrived in Chch last night after 36 hrs in the air after 6 take offs and landings....

Craig and Jim at Casbolts had my bike sorted and ready to go, tried on new boots Sidi canyon chasers....open the door and out into the rain...Bit bloody wet today.

Left Chch lunch time for Te Anau...via Dunners because I was a little worried about the Lindas.....It stopped raining between Timaru and Oamaru...sun shone in Oamau....10 K past Oamaru the rain started again.

The rain stopped in Palmerston...when the hail started.

The hail stopped when the rain started again.....there was fresh snow on them thar hills...it was cold...I was cold. I was expecting some degree of summer....

Did I make Te Anau?....stuff that, holed up in a hotel in Dunedin for the night....chillin out

    Sat 10th te Anau

Dunedin was dry when I left and Te Anau was dry when when I got here, But the bit between Mosgeil and Mossburn varied between Drizzle enough to annoy the visor to good rain between Riversdale and Lumsden...Feet still Dry...

Few jobs on the bike today, fitted new bar ends...not sure if they look as good as I hoped, but vision to the rear is a good improvement., modified the seat mount to suit a new gel seat waiting in Chch.

Beer Speights old dark off course) and Steak at the ranch with Toddy and another mate.

Forecast is good for tomorrow so its off to Teretonga for the track day.... then head some way back towards Chch.

Mate...I rode down from Te Anau...weather was lovely....Got to Winton aned it was looking dim...got to Teretonga and it was pissing down. I hung around catching up with friends...Kev and Toddy...No mc Jim to be seen. Midday flagged it away and headed north.

edendale was dry, Gorfe was patches of sunshine, Tapanui was mainly fine and from there was clear all the way to Chch including a trip to Mt Cook. Was a good ride....sorry we did not catch up.

Monday was a rest day in Chch With family.

Wednesday....dawned okay in Taupo so headed north, through Auckland to Dargiville and onward, up to the Cape Reinga. Rain started in Auckland and drizzled with lots of wind all the way to the Cape.

20 Km from the cape the road turned to very rough gravel...there is a road crew working on the road.....15 km from the end the road turned into nice blackto with sweeping bends..nice.

Turned around an spent the night a a small camp 25 km from the cape....food and beer and fun conversation.
