    Not quite an R6...

...but I didn't have to pay for it!

After weeks of being told "next week" my new Beemer finally arrived on Monday. Have been out on it for a few days and despite its bulk, it handles pretty well.

Have put all of 180 km's on it so far. A few people have had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting me in the past few days... there are some amazingly late red light runners out there.

Would still prefer they put some flashing lights on my Blackbird though!

Believe me, I have thought about it but alterations to police bikes aren't looked upon too favourably so will probably have to leave it as is...

Sure is bulky BC, makes the Bird look miniature in comparison, and the CBR is no small bike!

What is the engine size and weight of the Beemer? I guess it keeps up with the best of them/us.

Yeah, it does dwarf the 'Bird a bit... The Beemer is an 1150 cc beast (R1150RT) but weight is right up there... fully loaded with rider is around 400kgs I've been told... goes fairly well though - just have to twist the wrist a bit!

Man, I 'personally' think they should have some specialist coppers on ZXR12's and such powerplants, so that those cheaky buggers that do a runner on a bike can be delt with.

I never had done that.. yet.. maybe when I get a ZX10R I will come visit you Mr Bike Copper sir

If that Blackbird had red and blue indicators I'd be a little more scared

Sexy blackbird... and much as it offends me to say it - the company bike looks good too. And just so long as I don't get to see it in person, all is well
