    Lolly.
Like the guy I saw a couple of weeks ago - I was on the VFR, and just cruising westwards on Onewa at around 5ish, when this guy on a CB125 I think it was, comes zipping past me on the left, doing at least 20km/h more'n the traffic. Ahead of me, a van was indicating a left turn to go into a driveway, and the driver was SO not expecting someone to pass him on that side.
    Oops...
One crunched bike, one shamefaced and slightly bruised rider.

Ironically, the rider was wearing a "Watch out for Bikes!" fluoro vest.
He should've asked for his money back...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    Spotted

He gave me the learn this morning , overtook me in my lane on the harbour bridge (saw him coming so moved over a bit) then he used the bus only lane past Shelly Beach offramp. But didn't get an impression of him being dangerous or speeding etc. So I won't require the waambulance.......

Maybe we could start posting up sightings of the mighty TU, keep him honest

I've decided the best way to deal with this situation is to give him a taste of his own medicine next time I see him...... imagine that? someone giving you the "learn" on a girls bike that'll get him riled up

You've gotta watch those TU250 riders. They're lunatics!
There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!

9 hours a day, 5 days a week on a motorbike, and you don't think he's lost patience with other drivers. I've been there, and after that much time dealing with the average retarded driver and pedestrian on the street, you follow no rules except for look after yourself, and deliver as much as you can. So if he wanted to be any good as a courier he had to give up waiting for people to make space for him and learn to take space where he can find it and where he knows that it is safe. Just because he gave you a jump doesn't mean that he did anything wrong, did he clip you, knock you off your bike? No? Well then he didn't do anything wrong as far as I'm concerned, now harden up Nancy brush that TU250 dust off your visor and move on.

Also, bicycle and motorcycle couriers although they look dangerous are some of the best riders on the road, they spend so much time dicing in the worst traffic that they hone their skills, their judgement, their experience to a level that many office dwellers don't know exists. His consciousness while on the road is probably at a far heightened level than yourself.

Although part of being the most successful courier also involves learning how to be invisible. In my two years as a courier I didn't get one ticket but damn I existed in a state of perma-illegal-ness. Many don't make it as a courier due to not being invisible to the law.

Couriering is one thing I'm passionate about. And you'll find that 75% of the bicycle couriers out there are equally as passionate about it. It's a bit of a religion.

*edit* just re-read my post and I sound like a righteous pompous git, but at least I'm passionate.
