The price of rego may be high but just think of all the improvements being made to our roads.....insert sarcastic smiley
But it's a wasted $200 because they backdate the rego back to the date it ran out.
I got hit with a $200 fine two days ago on Nelson St, the rego was miles out (3 days I think), and I just hadn't noticed.
The interesting thing is I have been ticketed a couple of times for scoot not displaying a Rego - she loses them out of the little holder thingee at higher speeds; an annoying hassle.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
In the grand scheme of things, the WOF and rego prices aren't that high.
I'm more than happy to pay $1 a day for the privilege.
However I only have a single bike. I'd be more upset if I had to pay the same fees for multiple bikes.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

I spend more than a dollar a day on my sugary snacks at work!
Actually i should really stop that and get my rego. Only 2 months overdue![]()
I feel that the upkeep of my bike is a fair bit of money when you look at it but its a bargain compared to the stress therapy it gives me.
I love it when people suggest that I ride as a money saving exercise and then I mention what it costs me to run the Ducati for a year and wait for the penny to drop.
Exert your talents, and distinguish yourself, and don't think of retiring from the world, until the world will be sorry that you retire. -Samuel Johnson
move to the uk, buy a pre 71 bike that is tax exempt and continue riding, annual mot is only once a year and cheap classic insurance
add to that double your income and its a real winner
then subtract the crap weather and congested roads
but europe is on your doorstep and you can ride in a staright line for a day or two with out running out of island
Hmm my advice is to come up with a way to screw the system
Thats whats up.
Must try and find out if BRONZ are onto this. Anyone know? I'm sure they are. At the very least I think we should be paying the ACC levy portion of rego per person, not per bike. Can only ride or drive one vehicle at a time.
The collective KB vote helped win CBR the nude wedding maybe we should all get lobbying ACC. Just a thought.
