    Learner licence - Christchurch

    Hi all,
Finally getting myself road 'legal' and obtaining a licence - has anyone got theirs in Christchurch recently?

    Wondering:
    1) who is a good outfit to use? (Mainland, Dan Ormsby?)
    2) any particular theory location that is better than others etc?

Am competent on a bike - ride offroad and have ridden in asia and the countryside as a kid..

Cheers for any tips - and hi to all

Dan Ornsby was very good when my son did his basic handling test.

Should be OK pretty much anywhere for the theory test, although the staff at the Rangiora AA office seem less stressed than the others I've visited, must be the country air or something.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

I have found Mainland to be quite good, sat the Learners and Full through them.

I did my R and Full licence through Dan Ornsby. Couldn't fault them. He is based at Ruapuna, so if you are more central then perhaps Mainland might be easier.....

Thanks guys - completed yesterday with Dan Ormsby.

No hassles and good guys to deal with - now for the theory.

    Cheers ~
