thats where that machine comes in handy I recon. It surely teaches you some skills which are transferable to your own bike in some way.

I dunno... you certainly wouldn't want to straight away try emulating what you did on the machine. Things like the terrain, up hill or down hill, condition of the road surface, wind, all play a part. Can't imagine it feels all that real either.
