Alpinestar Tech 10's or Gaerne SG12's?

Does anyone have either the tech 10's or SG12's, and if so, what are they like?

Hey bro I was deciding the same thing, but I ended up going with the SG10's. I was told there wasnt really much difference between the 10's and 12's, and the 12's are an extra $500odd.

You can get real cheap Tech10's 08 models on btosports.com for around $550 landed.

I'm loving my SG10's, wouldnt go back to alpinestars.

the main problem that i found with the SG10's is that the hinge on the ankle kept getting pulled through and it was a mission to fix. t

the tech 10's just look soooo smooth, probably get the black ones..

I choose my AXO primes because of the ankle protection. Just an idea might be worth a look??
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

i have also heard about them having good protection.

might see what kinda deal i can get on the tech 10's first. i had a pair of tech 8's and they were great boots.

Well being a practical type of fella I go for practical wear. As in the riding I do we frequently end up doing the odd K of foot slogging, either pushing the bike or walking back after a break down (something to think about Van). The Italians win hands down in this department. I tend to think that the soles are also advanced for the enduro type riding i.e standing up heaps and do last.

For more MX riding then you wouldn't beat the Tech 10's.

I must have funny feet cause I tried on some Tech3's and they felt horrible. I've liked the 661 boots I tried on the best so far.
