    Katman is going to faint...

This is what my colleague who normally does all of my router machining for Nudemetalz Ltd did for me on a laser cutter....a WIRE-WHEEL KATANA !!!
This is made of 2mm clear acrylic plastic. The detail is absolutely incredible !!
Being a perfectionist, he said he wasn't quite happy with the cylinder shape, but hey.....
Anyway, the my pics don't do it justice
    It's approx 30cm long.

Probably just needs the carbs cleaning. All the bikes on Trademe that don't go, that's what's wrong with them. Any bike will go if you clean the carbs.

This was just a one-off for me 'cause he knows I like Kats (my old man raced a WW once).
I design and make to order clocks and coffee tables etc made from alloy and carbon-fibre. Do okay at it as a sideline.
Busy designing a guitar stand at present.
Also doing a wee job at present to support Skachill Racing, so watch that space....

do you know what software he used to convert the katana image into NC code? Think welli MU has a laser cutter which could be used for such purposes, and i have access to plamy MU CNC mill, cud do something similar with an engraving bit I imagine.

Unsure about the laser one but we use Artcam for the CAD/CNC Routing.
