    ZXR400 vs Xanthus 400 - thoughts?

Hey, So the mrs is on the prowl for her next bike, moving on from the TZR 250.
We have looked at a few and thus far the two she likes are a 1991 Kawasaki xanthus, and a 1989 zxr 400.
Both in very tidy condition, both 35-40k on them. both 400cc.
ZXR has been resprayed at some stage, but no frame damage etc which would indicate anything more than say a sidestand topple. Have access to service records for both.
The Xanthus is 4500, the ZXR 5k.

Was wondering what other peoples personal experience of either bikes is, do either have any particular common issues to look out for etc?
I am thinking both should be more like 4k also. any thoughts please throw them this way, thanks

+1 on adding the VFR400 NC30, single sided swingarm to that list of bikes to buy.

Plus is the gear driven cam, looks and reliability. The ZXR is a nice bike.

If you do add the VFR to the list. PM me I have one coming up for sale, new reg, warrant, mid 30km's and a good bike.

Will be on TM in the next week.

    Cheers

Edit - and I should have checked where you're located. So another plus in buying my one is you get to have a nice ride home.

It's the red, black and silver one. I'll send you something in a few days. I'm up to my eyeballs in work and shouldn't even be on here. I can send you a fair few pics. It's in getting a service, new plugs etc. And replacement front rotors. The old ones were just above and just below the legal limit.

Freight? And miss that ride. Please!
