    Government cornering advice?

Day off work + sunshine = a quick blast around some of my favourite roads north of Auckland (SH16/17 etc).

Turning into Waitoki I think (South Ave / Rd or something). I see one of those big Ministry of Transport boards, usually slow down, speed kills etc etc etc blah blah. Anyway this one was a billboard of a bike with cornering lines with some advice underneath like plan the corner, wide in, tight out or something. Can't actually remember exactly.

Just took me a bit by surprise especially the red lines through the corners on the graphic. Are these advice boards new or have they been around ages and i just aint noticed them before. What next? John Key at Pukky doing some rider training??

These signs are the work of Jackie Dawson;Rodney's "traffic safety" coordinator.
Another waste of space bureaucrat.I suggested to her that if she really wanted to improve motorcycle safety, she would address the atrocious level of tar flushing on Rodney roads.
