Thames coast road - conditions advisory

I travelled up and down the coast road yesterday and Works road maintenance trucks were out in force, digging, rolling and patching. The patching work in a few places isn't all that well marked and worse, I could hear gravel pinging off the bottom of the car, even though some of the work had been finished.

I know it's supposed to rain tomorrow but Sunday might be ok for a run-out. If you're planning a ride up our way, just keep your eyes peeled basically between Thornton Bay to about 5 km south of the hills towards Coromandel. Some of the patching is right on bends.
