    Stuck counter sprocket nut

    Ok have 06 yz450 witha very syuck counter sprocket nut i wanna change the front sprocket ..have tried strongarm and long pipe . tapping nut hard ,rattle gun, but wont budge.. someone said to use an electric rattle gun as they have more torque ??? or maybe one from a tyre place for truck wheels ?? any other ideas ??, i dont really want to use heat as i dont wanna have to replace the seal

    The rattle gun is the go, maybe try lying it on its side and soaking some CRC in there overnight??

    Try using an impact socket on the rattle gun.

    There is a product called frezze and release saeco bearings stock it. try that

    Saying electric impact wrenches deliver more torque is like saying blue bikes go faster, simply not true.

    It's not a left hand thread?, if not go & see your local tyre shop. The 3/4" drive wrenches the fleet guys use should deliver ~600ft/lbs.

    The standard 1/4" hose fittings that most "home" compressors & hoses use will restrict the output of a pneumatic wrench signigicantly. A cheapo 1/2"dr wrench will give you around 200ft/lbs on a good day, max.

    lpg also works well for a quick freeze used a spare paslode canister to freeze my wheel bearings yestrerday should have the same affect on this

    CRC it up over night?? or take to bike shop or car place let them use the rattle gun.

    sweet thanks guys ...i will try the loctite freeze stuff it was owned by a bike shop mechanic and he couldnt get it loose with the shop rattle gun ..failing that tyre shop rattle gun
    if i use the freeze stuff do i freeze the shaft and the nut or just the nut ???
    if you think life is 2 short , get a taller one

    just spray it on where the thread area is idea is the shaft will shrink and it will work it way down the threads ans use heaps dont be shy

    no way in hell will a battery rattle gun push more than an air wrench .. TOPS is 400 ft/lbs on those and thats only with a full battery..


    i have a 1/2 DR Sumake gun that pushes 1000 ft/lbs on the tool truck...

    Paslode as in nail gun canisteri think i have a couple of those laying around
