Still classed as a dorklander even if you did come from the country.
I came from Kaikohe bro and the don't get any harder than that!!
    ...rrrrright...

Yes, there is a designated area that is defence land(owned by the crown)If you stop and look at the signs on the way up it is clearly visable. They do have or rather used to have signs around the perimeter but dicks pull them out and when caught say "What sign" Forestry land runs to the Hi tide mark. From there to the surf is road. This is fact!!

The reason that people are getting pissed is because riders that go up to the range generally don't ride just the range but tresspass even more into the forestry, into areas that piss forestry and private block owners off so that when clubs and organisations want to have a ride for the masses up there the land owners tell us to get stuffed. Here is a classic example.
Now I understand what you are getting at. I thought the dunes were all no mans land, I didn't know they were privately owned. I wish you had said this 5 pages back lol.

I will think twice bout going up there again now, but I don't know how you're going to stop people riding up there... its too awesome.

Still dont get this there is no skill involved in that type of riding you just wind the gas on full and thrash yah bike dont see the point why even bother owning one if you cant even challenge your self to ride better.

Haha me too, well Awarua, rode all those forestry blocks, use to work for Carter Holt way back then.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

wat are you on abt, the bombing range has some of the best open sand berms around, granted its far from a safe playing area for a number of reasons, and really is not my cup of tea, but each to there own. you should come out to harrisville this summer, come test your skill!

it is a shame though, the whole beach access thing, cant beat the west coast sunset with the wind blowing through the hair

What does skill have to do with it? Its about having fun not practising to be the best rider in the world wtf... do you ever have fun on your bike? Or do you just try to be the best all the time?

I think if one of those bombs fell on your head while riding the range you would be nursing some kinda headache... more reason not to ride there..

I told 4 pricks off for wanting to go to the bombing range on saturday ....... But they did not give two shits as they had already had all there tyres let down before and stuff like that. There reason for going is they didn't want to pay, told them they'l be paying once the forest is shut down, then they quickly hurried off. The Pricks pissed me off.
I want to ride everyday...... Fuck work

well if this fucked city provided more options for dirt bikes all would be sweet, days gone by the issue was guys ridding on the beach use to enter the forest or greg powers trails and everyone would pull the trespass gig, now all seem to think that riding on the beach\bombing range is gona get the forest shut down! it was always illegal to ride on the beach, it was allways illegal to ride the bombing range, only now do they police it the way they do, muriwai is 40 odd kms long, why bikes cant ride a certain part of it is a fuking joke imo!
