Talk show hosts just go with the majority of opinion. That way they maximise the listening base, which the radio station can then up the dollar for the adverts that they run.

There is in most cases a delay in which the host can button the comments before they get on air if said caller has more knowledge on the subject and holds a differing opinion from the host. (Officialy it's to stop caller abuse from going on air) You will never hear the host hang up but should the caller do this then all and sundry will know. Sound engineer can manipulate the audio controls which gives said host the edge to talk over the caller. A level playing field............I don't think so.

What if their husbands/sons are idiots? Do you really want more idiots on bikes?

You have a valid point there. I wonder how many self-confessed idiots would still listen to their wife/mother though. (And how many would completely deny their state of idiothood-ness).

Talkback radio is cool, well if you're working in the shed 2 days out from NZ stockcar champs (10hour drive away, and doing an allnighter to 2am)to get it in tip top order. And radio only had AM.Then the bloody tow vehicle had am only radio/tapedeck.After first hour of ZB talkback we listened to Bat out of Hell to Gissy and back to Stratford, just as well we liked Meatloaf,as only tape in car,(we forgot to grab the tapes from my car) and still do lol.

National Radio today - Jim Moras "Best song ever written" - some cool person nominated "52 Vincent Black Lightning" and prior to playing it Jim let the person explain the song and why they liked it. Not all radio is anti-bike.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

You could have suggested wives should be banned from crossing the road because they dont look properly and left it at that.

I understand being too lazy to do the shopping, but come on - do you really want to trust a woman with money? She would probably buy the wrong beer 'because it was on special'. It's not worth the risk IMO.

Ahhh, so you've had that discussion too?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

You cant stop a person from riding. I'm sure most of us who ride have met a friend/family member who's not happy about bikes. Be supportive I say
