Was going for a ride into town on Saturday afternoon, coming out of a roundabout, the triple just died

Right away I had flashbacks from a few years ago, where coming out of the very same roundabout I ran out of fuel. Surely not a second time, and I checked it before I left home! 1/4 tank in 5km? nooo....

Anyway, coasted to a stop, looked down and saw fuel pissing out all over the engine cases. Got the bike off the road, seat off and fuel tank up - fuel hose had decided to come off completely! passer by offered a hand, said he was a mechanic so - why not Turned out to be Emma Gilmores dad, who was up for the Nelson rally. Reclipped the hose, but added a cabletie this time ...
