Swt as, put a date up and we'll all come down and get it sorted. If everyone who's been going down has a bit of notice plenty should turn up. Last time I was there, every man and his dog was there, quads (one missing a wheel lol), 4x4's you name it.

I'll be in for a working bee.
Maybe post on NZ 4x4 assoc website also? I saw they had a couple of maintenance day events posted on their website for the Maratoto/wires area earlier this year.

I would be keen to come down and help too.

I've done a bit of looking at the trail on ride reports and I think I may not even take my bike with me. It looks and sounds very hard!!

Is this track just open to anyone who thinks they're good enough to make it?

Would a 3 tonne digger be of any help Chris? Its 1530mm wide(Komatsu PC30) I grew allergic to shovels a long time ago. Happy to help.(Before Burt Munroe tho)

A digger would be great but the access is probably impossible. Thankyou for the offer though! How does Labour day, 26th October sound? Seems fitting to have a days manual labour on labour day??

Theres a bunch of about 5 guys who live in the valley who ride up there, Plus a 4x4 guy with a 12 tonne Hitachi. he was up there for a week last spring.
I will see them this weekend and see what they are keen to do. they have got the resources right there on the spot. -BBQ included.
Im not on here a lot lately- so dont let it happen without me, slip me a PM so it comes thru with my emails.
