It's the little things that make the difference

It really is. I had been thinking for some time that I needed to check the location of my gear shifter. I'd done all the adjustments to the hand controls when I first got the bike, but just hadn't got around to the shifter.

Popped into my local bike shop yesterday to chat about the correct way to do the job. Not only did my friendl mechanic show me how it's done, but he adjusted it about 1 cm lower (always easier when you've done it a few hundred times I guess).

It make a hell of a difference, and I simply can't believe I was such a lazy git.

Got some new glasses yesterday. It's even better being able to see properly again!

Have a crack at the clutch and brake levers next... a little rotation to where it feels nice is worth doing... all you need is an 8mm spanner on those iirc. Classic Suzuki, they're always a bit high.

I'm sorry but I'm lost haha. Do you mean the tip of the gear lever has been moved down so its easier to shift?
