As the title suggests . . . I'm looking to replace the stock pipe on an '04 CR250 (but keep the stock muffler).
Worth noting that I've also got an '01 CR250 with a DEP on it that gives little down low, and then seems to skip mid range and launch into a top end that is more powerful than what the '04 can cough up with it's stock pipe. I'm kinda hoping that I can get that sort of top without loosing the midrange the the '04 currently has.
I like the idea of the FMF Gnarly's thicker gauge walls, but the Gnarly is aimed at low to mid range - I've got enough of that already, it's the top end that I'm wanting to boost. And I'd be stoked to get the DEP's level of top, but I don't want to do it at the expense of too much midrange.
So, what's the best pipe for reasonable mid with a good wallop of top? What is everyone running out there?
