Every 10,000km usually recommended but you can usually get away 20,000km...

    You will have no brakes.
    You will crash.

    Why is it empty?

Put your tools down and back slowly away from your bike - actually, back away very quickly.

If the level is low you probably need new brake pads. Take it to a shop or start doing LOTS of learning.

Check the sight glass level on master cylinder, should be at the top when bike is level.Usually replace every 2 years in most service schedules.
