well i know this says it all, but is it only on rgv or all 250 2-strokers ? i'm just curious about RGV compare to NSR (of the same year, so it'd be MC21)

which one the better bike, handling, performance and maintenance wise ?

Nope, that about describes them all really.....
A bit pointless to compare, all have their good points/bad points.
    Example:
RGV VJ22: Wicked power band, looks like a reall GP bike, with USD forks etc. Prone to drop powervalves into top cylinder and destroy engine.

NSR MC21: Sliky smooth gearbox, feels much smaller to ride than RGV, powerband much more controlled.

Aprillia: Same engine as the RGV, wider front wheel, better tyre choices, updated frame, suspension etc...

Never riden a TZR or Kr-1, but I would assume the maintence is about the same.
USe good oil, change rings/pistons at xxx kms... blahblahblah

Im looking at getting a 89-90? unfaired wolf model rgv. I think this model is based on the vj21 model. Does anyone know if these models have any bad habbits? The one im lookin at has done 35k and was rebuilt about 5k ago and the powervalves have been replaced with ones from a 95 model...im going to check it out this weekend any info on this model would be good

From memory, they are a single?
Kind of shonky, piston to heavy to conrod or something....
I tried one, and it seemed pretty cool for an about town hoon bike... hopefully someone else can offer more...

200's were singles, using something like the TS200 engine, the 250's had RGV twins, and they were japanese made, so the quality was great, unlike the rg150's.
