A day at home but no ride

First time that has happened...well I did have a little local pootle this morning to do the tag-o-rama thing...

Since the health is still not too flash I chose instead to do a day's work on the bike...or half a day anyway.

Took off the Two Bros muffler and did a repack. Dumb move bro - it wasn't too badly knacked once I had a look inside....(dumbarse)

Installed another auxiliary circuit with a little plug beside the speedo to plug likely things into - like radar detector or GPS etc...not too many issues except putting the plugs on back to front initially...(dumbarse)

Would rather have ridden it though...just feeling too unwell to trust myself out there. Maybe I did have pig flu after all...(oinkoinkoink)

Yeah, better that you had a rest day than got out there with a cloudy mind and being at risk. Also better that you shake your swine flu than spend more days at work feeling like crap. Get well soon mate

We did do the slow foxtrot as well - two hour practice in the morning (under the influence of Panadeine - which helped).

Got out for a quick blast this morning though - just beat the rain - roads mostly still dry. Love that. Not that I was naughty at all you unnerstand...

The repacked muffler, despite the old packing looking OK, is a little quieter and seems to have given the bike just a tad more go. Not sure how that happens...perhaps it's all in the mind (yea yea "what mind?", I know...)

Sometimes that can happen - the new packing can be a little more dense and offer less restriction to the gases, so they exit tidily instead of waffling around in the packing.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Interphone seems pretty good - have yet to put it to the test on a ride though - nobody ever calls me up when I am out and about - but at least I am contactable if needed. I could always get gf to phone me up on it but since she doesn't actually know I have bought this, maybe I will just shut up for now...no need for unnecessary

    I wondered about that...

During the 8000km since I put this can on, the fuel consumption has gradually changed as well. After first installing it, the gas consumption increased - mpg dropped from 62ish to 58ish. But of recent times it has gone back to where it used to be...back up round 62ish again...achieved 66mpg on the Auckland trip couple weeks back. So what the hell? Same thing huh? Be interesting to see if repacking affects consumption again...
