    Speeding

    Whats worse?

Doing 90kph in a 50kph zone ie. in town
    or 180kph in a 100kph zone.

One you just get a ticket. One you walk home.

Yup, sounds pretty dumb to me, especially as on the open road with no traffic & good visibility the only hazard is TC's.

its all about the magic 50 k over. If they drop it to 40k, both are walk homers.
Also, do the crime, do the time.

Depends. In the wrong circumstances, both scenarios are equally stupid.

I think committing the first would be worse. Not only town is 50kph, but also residential. Cars are more likely to pull out in front of you, and far worse, kids. The point of the limit (in my view) is that it is an adequate speed for the area, and slow enough to brake from if something bad happens.

I would hate to hit some kid or suchlike. You may be in the right, but some family would still be distraught. It's not always as case of me, me, me and getting someplace 10 seconds faster (very common here in auck).

also if your speeding on your or cage and ya get done by said copper when hes behind you pulling you over try and stop real quick.if ya can get the copper to hit ya theres a good chance youll get of it.
also just cose their coppers dont mean they cann speed either.
my old boss followed a copper in aucklands motorway and noted his speed to be 115ks.
when copper slowed down to 90ks he then passed said copper and sped up to 105ks.

copper pulled him up nearly ramming the car in the process
said he was gona do him for speeding ,at which point old boss said since youve just said my speedo is reading correctly im gona write in and have you done for speeding back there at 115ks!!
said copper got abit flustered and to cut along story short old boss drove of without ticket

just cose they are the law dont mean their above the law.
hang on ill just find my caring face.....

cops dont like having to test their braking ability!

they dont like ya when you brake faster than they can...... reckon its dangerous when they have to swerve around you and park in front cos the big brakes on my corolla were to good for the HP's shitty holden brakes......... didn't get a ticket but i wasn't doin anything wrong in the first place (apart from driving a high key cage)
The world stands aside to let anyone pass who knows where he is going....

Agreed, if he hits you from behind and you are on your bike, you gonna have an even worse problem than a ticket...

on one of those chase programs, there was a biker that was doing a runner from the police in Britain, I think.

He would keep slowing down, police would think he was stopping, then he would hoon off, opening up a gap.

Then, he gave up and pulled over. The police thought he was just pulling another trick and hit him, at a slow speed tho (or though for some... )

    Still a good idea??
