I use it on the very rare occassion... and I enjoy it.
and I don't drive for 12 hours afterwards... although I do have a sling of empty canisters, a cracker and a clear pipe that goes to the air filter on my bike... that's just a standing joke

at parties I'm usually a sober driver, I don't do any other forms of drugs.

Watching people pull a car over at the side of the road, driver door opens, pushing a load of empty canisters onto the road... that really makes me grumpy.

yeah, I've been doing it for years, a couple of times a year. It is pretty harmless stuff if you don't be silly with it.

I guess like pot (which I don't use) it is a minority giving the rest a bad name. And alcohol, I'm surprised they haven't banned alcohol and ciggies yet *sigh*

NOS is fairly harmless, it is used in hospitals and at dentists regularly, given to mothers in labour even so there #should# have been a fair bit of research into its effects/after effects.

but like any drug its about use not abuse.........

and yeah alcohol and ciggies are the worst but lots of people make lots of money............... or sum shite

Yeah I do a bit of nos occasionally too.. You need to be doing hundreds of cannisters a day for months to get any significant detrimental effects. It just give you a mild b12 deficiency with long term use, but you can get b12 injections.
But nos is bad.... because I'm not a millionaire

    Wow

I am impressed, you guys have raised good points here. I'm pleased to see some do know the ONLY side effects of NOS, when used literally everyday, is a slight Vit. B deficiency. Having a box (12 or even 24), once every couple of months does absolutely nothing to you. Trust me on that, ALOT of research has been done, and, it's used medically.

I must admit, I've done it while driving (accompanied, quiet rural streets). The effects can be as strong or weak as you let them be. However, while I have no problem with it, I haven't had any for ages since it's a social thing and I don't go out often (it's also sort of expensive, and now illegal ) It does amazing things to what you hear too, eg music or on the beach.....

Again, it's the abusers who ruin things for the rest of the "responsible" people. Life can reallllllly suck some (all of) times, and for a minute or two, it doesn't matter one little bit
Fuck them, medical NOS is better anyway (Just not easy to get hold of...)
excuse me while I drift off into my own dream world

Wasn't it always illegal to sell it for the purpose of inhaling it?

Sort of like the stuff you can buy from sex shops to inhale, thats sold as leather cleaner? (something nitrate????)

(Not that i'd know, of course)

I was wondering what was to become of all the law abiding pervs who need to buy the NOS canisters for cream whipping devices?
No whipped cream for their orgies.

    Conversation in corner dairy :
"You're not going to enhale this are you?Rangi."

"Oh no,Sanjay,I am going home to have strawberries and cream."

To me this sounds like another totally unenforcable law from Jim Anderton,he seems to specialise them.

I think you do get plain NOS (in the completely blue tanks). Aren't you talking about Entonox? (O2 / NOS mix, in black/white tanks)

Hell, Entonox would be safer anyway, you could just strap an O2 mask on, and relax (Wouldn't reccommed this, prob not too good for ya) Do that with pure NOS and you won't be waking up

Pedant alert: Why does everybody (including the so-called 'newspapers') call the stuff NOS when it's actually NO2?????
