    Suzuki GS500E

    Hi there

What are these like. There is one at our Yamaha dealer in Tauranga. It is a 1998 with 26000 kms on the clock. Looking at a stepup from a 250. Something reliable but will go good on the motorway. Opinions would be great. cheers

gs500's are basicly a al'cheapo street fighter......they put out less power that alot of 250cc sportsbikes, but you can guarantee they will start when you want them to.

Yes, these bikes are reliable, but Adam was riding around on them. I think there are some better (dare I say modern) options. CB600, ER6, XT660, etc. Depends on your budget.

They are a great bike. I had one. I never needed a 250, so this was my first bike. Extremely reliable and I loved it. I probably did about 50,000km on mine. Good to touch the ground on too.

They are a nice bike. Not tooo fast but does the job.
I did the north Island on mine many moons ago with pack rack and tank bag.
I brought a 84 550 back in april. Nothing but trouble.
For a smaller guy who dosnt want to race the bike, its a nice bike.
    Hope this helps.

Many years ago they use to race them......
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

FABULOUS! Well I reckon it is anyway. Just got me one after riding a 1983 CB250RS for a few years, nice step up and very comfortable and uncomplicated. Buy it, has less kms on the clock than mine. How much they asking?
