Rear sprocket is 41t. Standard is 40t, assuming the front is stock, it's geared lower than factory.
Realistically it's probably only doing 190kph-ish. I'll re-post when I get it geared up a notch and verified
It'll manage alot more than that too! My 300 was just under the redline and refusing to rev any harder in 6th with a 16/40 (taller than stock) sprocket combo down the straight at Taupo - with track to spare. I've since got a 38T rear sorted for next time im there. The gearing commander reckons that's over 140mph with a 160/60 rear tyre on. I've got 36,35 and 34T rears ready for that cliffhanger sprint in november. Apparently Matt@Tyga has had over 150mph out of his (but ofcourse his will be tuned to the NUTS).

yeah, couple of years ago before i 'rebuilt it' (not fully, just the power valves and head etc) i was read by a digital reader in a Skyline following at 223kmph...apparently.

I certainly wasn't looking, and anything after 200kmph feels about the same as 215kmph to me! My helmet and head moves too fast to look.

I wasn't in 6th gear, but I used my 6th gear to slow down and stop red-lining. If anyone else wants to try getting more out of her I'd be keen as to let you?
I'd love to know what she does, I just don't have enough balls!!! Plus, I want to do it all over again tomorrow. In all honesty I doubt it'd do more.

It sounded like a cat doing terrible things to a crayfish!

We swept the road with a broom first and posted people on a couple of corners to make sure there was no traffic.

Mine's a 250cc Kawasaki KR1. 115ikg dry weight, full fairing. I upgraded the disk and brakes to support larger calipers and disks as I didn't trust it stopping! Now I'm scared of flying over the handle bars.

    Something I saw today here.
Bill Gillis set the world record for the land speed record on a motorcycle (250cc class) of 214.775 miles per hour at Bonneville Salt Flats!

    Looks like an Aprilia RS250
    and

    From BUB 2007 results
    #1125 William Gills 250 M P 87.624 new record

Best I know for a production VJ22 based machine was the Airtech 'prilia RS250 attempt at Bonneville at 134 and a bit mph.
    FWIW.

The RG is about 6% out when I tested it, cop wasn't happy.
Ticket was 124kph, my speedo needle was sitting exactly on 130 during my 'commute'.

1 less tooth on the back, and a tweaked motor - they quite easy can get past a 'limited, nose diving" cbr250 at whatever their limit is 180kph(?).

When Bayride entered the speed trial on it, she got 204 - but I reckon with an extra km could prob get another 2-5kph.

Sadly however if you do this to an RG - its a bomb that goes off after 10,000km........everything engine wise looks like fine alu dust.

Fastest I ever went on a 250 was 180......as I like living, and dislike waiting.

can't figure out whether this is a reply post to the same thread or not, but cool

i'm pretty sure there'll be a number of people/racers who would like to give it a thrash.

I'll be selling it shortly - after rebuilding it, I am happy with this project. I'd prefer to put her in a glass box down the hallway, but what's the point?!!
    M
y 650 is boring compared to the power band of a 2-stroke, but doesn't need to be run hot all the time or red-lining into corners to stop bogging and fouling plugs!
    AND it's electric start!!! yeh-ah.

I did try to get some speed one other time, but no accurate readings. The spedo read 220-230 when I looked briefly though. I imagine that's it...and I was a mess afterwards! lol
Gotta do it once at least - that's what she's made for!!!!

Hope this is the right way to reply SMOKEU.
    Cheers
