A mate of mine wasn't happy when the gauge cluster his very low mileage GT250R decided to give up the ghost, and a new one cost him around $800, and the fact that it can't keep up with my 21 year old Honda which has been thrashed to death by now by numerous wannabe Rossis.
[QUOTE=chef;1129434042]i wonder what is the top speed a 250 can actually go? ive gotten my little gt250 hyo up to 140 kmph took me a few seconds to actually make it there. what can you get your 250 up to? and what kind of bike is it?
got my old gpz250 up to bout 175 on few occasions

1990 CBR250RR - fully rebuilt and awesome!
1999 CBR900RR - a work in progress...
haha, i just thought the same thing ...I guess as long as there are 250's being ridden this thread will continue ...
207 woohoo, didn't see the speedo but the max speed number confirmed it! Yes there was a bit of a downhill involved but nothing really massive! Got to 180 relatively quickly (for me at least) then slammed into 6th, tucked the head right into screen stayed there for about 10 secs and let go. Was awesome to have a little 250 take you over 200!
Dunno if bandits been said already but I've had it off the clock (180+) although I'd be happy if realistically that was 160 =p
Dropping a tooth on the front might help, it doesn't hit redline in 6th atm..
