My 08 DR650 saw 180 kph before I sold it. That was with knoblys on and when the arse end started bucking, I shat my self and backed right off.

To be fair, it had the airbox mod, FMF Q4 pipe with spark arestor out and stage 2 Dynojet kit.
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

In standard form they tend to taper off just after 12,000rpm. Get some balanced headers on the bitch and jet it

Haha I have no mechanical knowledge is this somethin to do with the carbs?

Yeah if I'm cruising at like 130ish in 5th it seems to almost lose power or limit power at around 11-12 ish revs, itll make it up to 140 but as I switch into 6th it just loses power and wont go any faster.

I think it may be due to the wind or something, but its still got another 3000 rpm till ride line to go at 140, I think the wind might be holding me back

The exhaust has a "balance box" just under the rear cylinder. When that is removed and you have made a set of sexy equal length headers it pulls better up top, I'd say the carbon build up and funny air-flow plates in the balance box cause turbulence and inhibit gas flow. It was the best thing I did to mine, made it much nicer to ride and sounded way better than just a silly loud exhaust can.

Mine ended up doing just under 160 before you'd change in to 6th and it would keep going (not very fast...but it's a 250). I had a higher profile rear tyre on it though to fuck with the gearing.

When I got mine it would pull 155 in to a head wind.

Is that on the track as well? was looking for a 250 ninja for road racing but can't seem to find one with enough mods, also i think the guy is running the wrong powerband and his flux capacitor is running a little lean.

Need's the red powerband, then he'll be making some serious power.

Hit 170 on my bandit but slowed down when the rear felt a bit wobbly. I reckon it'd do 180 or more
