wish i still had that bike some guy in wellington owns it now his names paul, he took off the headlight and put back on standard, anyways, had larger intake, dna filter, some aftermarket japa CDI unit, bigger carbs, and the exhaust as you see in the pics with the twin can's. was all done before i imported it from japan (yes chose it because of the mods) i did all the visual mods.

Guys at wild west honda when it was open said "yes nomis it really is a rapid little hornet, I dont smell bullshit anymore". Peace. - its was gay in terms of speed anyway. any wind blowing and would struggle but yes it was faster than 2 cbrr's to 100k even on a roll on. and no there was no rev limiter, something to do with the cdi aprntly.

oh and so did the guy who did pre sale check at henderson yamaha when i sold it.

anyways you would know the bike that i owned for 18months better than i would of course. and the fact it wasnt 20 years old and raped every day of its life may have had soemthing to do with it yes. but anyways like you say its i can pee further than you can.

and wtf gib is heavy... all i had was carbon fiber front and rear fenders and engine casings, and that rear tail section, and the head light was heavier than the first.. none where for aerodynamics was because i liked how it looked..

Okay... Speeds for 250's and below that I have riden...

    1976 XL125 = 95km/hr when I weighed about 40kg wet...
CT90 somewhere around 80... yup we melted the piston on that one.
MVX250... Off the clock, but the speedo was 40% optomistic! Easiest MVX in the world to sell that one!
    RG250 170 or there abouts
    125 Bucket racer about 150...
Invader 250 (2003 GSX) 150 Max. Red line top gear, tail wind...
    Honda NS1 (50) 105 km/hr (Yup truly fast for a 50, and STANDARD!)

One of the surprises: 1988 GPX 250. They are very fast for what they are.... 170+

RGV250... Off the clock, and would have given my CBR a huge fright!
NSR250 (MC21) about 200 when I blew it up down the back straight of Manfeild
NSR250 (MC28) 100km/hr... Never got a chance to take it on a closed road...

Plenty of others riden... just haven't tried to find their top speeds.

been 180 on a tzr250 3xv bit of a downhill but still had more in it obviously.

BANZAI's GN250 with windshield, got it up to 125 i think and took forever. It was vibrating so badly i'm sure it could envoke clitoral orgasm.

It does look very nice! The list of what had been done to it is rather impressive too. Had it ever had the head off? Or the cams done? The CR and cams were the main draw back [basically the only draw back] in the horny motor.

Not to sure, I only had that info regarding the bike, but Wild West Honda looked at it when i first got it to the country and went over it etc. I more got told than anything. But was nice to have something a little diff. Was to loud though so I put silencers in it, after that I could never get the tuning right with or with out them, Still went fine though just felt it lacked to what it had when I first got it.

    Stink buzz.

You know what I've found the crazy bit about these things are ?

Corners that you had previously thought you were flying around now seem slow, I cruised home at a velocity that was previously un-attainable on my old spada and it didn't feel unsafe at all. I don't know if this is good or bad..

That is why people seem to say they are one of the all time greats in the corners. Spada's don't feel safe anyway, fork and swing arm flex in a scary way sucks and they have shit suspension, as we should both know.
    Go the NC30

Slowest: GN250. Went past a cop with a radar `on the tank'. Just sad, really.
Fastest: Hikita's RS250 with an HRC A kit ('97?). It could pass our domestic superbikes in a straight line.
