160km/h didn't take all that long to get up to that speed ether. Although I wonder how accurate the speedometers are at those speeds?
10-20 km/h
I've had the NSR indicating what would be if it was there about 210kph. For those of you with older Honda dash boards, the needle was sitting over the words "Nippon Senkei"
Rear sprocket is 41t. Standard is 40t, assuming the front is stock, it's geared lower than factory.
Realistically it's probably only doing 190kph-ish. I'll re-post when I get it geared up a notch and verified
On a 'closed road for testing purposes only...' I got my (modded and tuned) CBR250 RR up to a nice healthy 212 kph - on my GPS. Actually didn't see the speed on the GPS when I did it, only afterwards when I checked my top speed on the recorder function - was way too fast to take my eyes off the road! (Still have it saved on the GPS cause two of my workmates on new Ninja's cant get anywhere near that! LOL)
Not one to do this on an open road though, value my license way too much.

can't beat the cbr250rr (wtf?) but...158k/h on fully stock kwaka gpx down the nor'western while giving the old battery a good beating. i didn't think that was too bad![]()
Like an old buddy of mine from the performance car world used to say... "If you gotta ask, you don't deserve to know..."
Standard CBR250RR's in good condition will hit the limiter pretty easily - at 185kph (indicated) - and its actually really easy to eliminate the speed restrictor if you know what you're doing... Its as simple as being 'just a wire'... Other than that, using lightweight replacement products, good gearing, racing application engine mods, and a bloody good carbie tune, along with one or two 'top secret' modifications... She breaks 200 kph no worries! If the road is long enough, she might even go faster than 212... Is it worth it though? Having to do service's so often and keep the bike in top tune all the time can be a real pain in the neck... Especially considering the frame is 20 years old now!
But, like I said, keep it legal on the streets boys!

What kind of gearing do you run?
LOL - now THAT would be telling! Gotta keep them guessing, you know! Let's just say, at 212 kph, I'm pretty sure I was just nudging the redline... And at 100 kph, I'm just under 9000 rpm (in top gear).
