What does your 250 cap out at?

Thought this could be an interesting thread to compare 250's.

What does your 250 cap out at?

To make it all relative, post specs as below - I have done an example.

    Make: Hyosung
Model: GT250 ( Up right riding position)
    Year: 2010
    Power: 28.5 ( quoted standard)
    Modifications: Screaming Demond muffler
    Engine: 250 V twin
    Bike weight: 153kg ( dry )
    Your height: 187cm
    Your weight: 75 kg
Highest speed you have reached: 160kph

Remember this all happened on closed roads.

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

my 09 ninja has been upto 160 maxed out in 6th so far, on the flat. it wopuldnt go past 140 when the speedo still read under 2000kms.
now its almost at 4000, so the engine is wearing in nicely.

I had a cb100 (many years ago) that did 140km/hr flat out, and it got there pretty fast too.

admittedly it was powered by a xr200 motor with gearing and internal mods. Would beat just about anything from 0-100.

Banged off the limiter with a slight hill decline. She really needs to see a track some day.

Unreal this thread has active content !

    better late than never...

I've had my 1988 NSR250 off the clock a number of times clock ends at 190 and the needle was some way past that.. I'm guessing about 210km/h.

Had a mate on a gsxr400 with me on one run and i got tapped out before him but he had maybe 2km/h more top end... picking if i dropped a tooth on the rear
I would have had em beat

Very stable at that speed and no carbon was left on the pistons

Can't understand why people like 4 stroke 250's..... to slow LOL.....

Wait thats all you can buy now... what a shame it is... glad I had my fun when I did.

    Ian.
