    The Fuzz and Oriental Parade

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but in the last 4 weeks or so there has been almost a routine stop by the police on Oriental Parade once a week around 5pm. I think first off was licence check, WOF and Rego, followed by subsequent stops for the same thing and then last night an alcohol breath test. Just wondered what they're up to and why the sudden interest in Oriental Parade?

Shouldn't they be out in the Hutt somewhere chasing the bad guys

Nah they like to sit along there, sometimes with speed guns as well. I think it's because there's a lot of people walking/skating/cycling along there, you see them a lot. Often it's a motorcycle cop too.

    New donut shop nearby?

    Possibly recruits doing infield training?

Just time for a change of scenery... especially with summer coming along...

This sounds like the most likely reason. Good to see some cops patrolling where it's needed.

Yesterday saw an undercover rozzer in a suped up Holden of some description on the Evans bay side had pulled over a dirty old Corolla.. Yay! I like the fact they patrol it too - perhaps they should pick up more of the insane scooter riders that are about? Nearly got taken out by one this morning shooting up my inside - if I see the smegger again he's in for a clothesline ^_^ (invading my personal space is definitely not cool on your shitbox 50cc chinese made farmyard-worthy fartbox piece of excrement)

Yeah but Clayton Weatherston and David Bain didn't come from Wellington. Those who live in glass houses.
