I found on the site statistics that there is more posts and threads on Rant & Rave then their is in General Bikes. Thats puts a real bad tarnish to the purpose of this site doesent it, If the admin of this site closed Rant & Rave for atleast a month and see the progress. Where there would only be pointless drivel for Rant & Rave, I think the mods wouldnt have as hard of a time. If people want to rant on about something irrelevant to bikes they can PM a freind or go to another site.

You ever been to a US bike site? Dry, boring, pointless, 1200 posts in total after 15 years of being in existence. If you want a site like that how about you and the incoherent little friend who turns everything you type to gibberish sod off and start your own, boring pointless, "what is a wheel bearing for?" site.

Forgot to add, just because the "American" bike sites have most pointless dribble doesent mean its alright for us to do the same id like to think us Kiwis are better than that, I bet the mods would find it would be a breeze without threads like "sexual positions" sorry sidewinder or posts like "fuck the police". Lets be honest Im a avid Rant & Rave poster so it makes my reason more valid, as much as its tempting for the shits and giggles riding motorcycles is what its all about at the end of the day.

My view of your comments based soley on your latest comments is that you are just like the people who buy houses next to a racetrack then complain about the noise.

Dare I suggest that the very reason that R and R is so big on KB is because KB unlike a lot of web sites is interactive.A large number of us actually know one another and dare I say it are actually freinds in real life.

A club? No.

KB is an online resource for NZ biker groups/individuals to do what they need to do. A central point of communication for organization, info and just talking shit. Although we have many of the trappings of a club, we will never be one. The problem I have with clubs is that they infer the inclusion of some, for the exclusion of others. KB is for anyone who is into two wheels and an engine between their legs.

For those that wish to behave in a club manner, that’s fine. We have shirts, stickers, patches and a flag to make you feel part of a group, but the site will only be that, just a site.

For those who don’t want to be associated with KB, but just use it as a place to keep in touch with other bikers and events, then they shouldn’t feel the need to be part of a club and it’s rules for offsite behaviour.

KB will always help in any way it can to organize and advertise events, but the responsibility for the event remains solely with the organizers. Anyone who wishes to use the Kiwi Biker name for large events, ask for permission so we can make sure the organizers are responsible people.

Kiwi Biker is here to help your offsite activities, not control them.

I am no where near a grand member of this site, speaking of which I have much respect for you as you have a long history in this site and racing. Remember I am not proposing a definite change just maybe a month to see how things get on without Rant and Rave it wont hurt anyone too bad.

RR is a privilege that requires responsibility just like being able to ride motorcycles through certain places or park for free in certain places etc. Well lets face it some (like me) cant help but shoot mouths off and end up in big trouble. Generally this is a biking site, what do we (well most) say to people who dont own a bike but have a high post count? Usually along the lines of "why dont you have a bike". If we can take it away for just a month then see how quiet the trolls are, how breezy things would run along.

Dude, taking this in context with some of your other postings, I'd respectfully suggest that you are confused . This is a site for bikers. Kiwi bikers specifically. Cos that's (a) what we are; and (b) where we are.

Now , what YOU want is http://www.twowheeledcar.com. You'd be much happier there.

Read the other thread that you posted in (praise/criticism of mods) and that will answer some of your questions.

Let me pose this question - and take time to think about it.

Why are these people special that they can do whatever they want and others on here can't and follow the rules. I can not see the difference that they have from the Manawatu crowd. the Hawkes Bay riders, the Wellington groups or the Aucklanders ... that means that they don't need to follow the site set up and be special on their own.

I dont think you actually read the tauranga thread you just presumed it was fulkl of shit. Plus you keep saying you dont give a fuck, yet our members keep getting infractions. Maybe the other regions just bent over and took it up the arse, unfortunately tauranga didnt. Our issue is not where we have been moved to but the simple fact we were not consulted as the mods have done in the past. This is not the first time this has happen to us, but it is the first time we were not consulted.

Its not that expensive and I've never been charged for "traffic", dont have a server or been charged for storage space as that is the hosters job and they charge accordingly.

I do enjoy two wheels in real life but I agree with you that my posts dont shed great light if any at all on motorcycles. Hence the reason why so many RR but little Bike related threads and posts because the same can be said for others. If we had RR banned for a month Id promise you would see more noob biker Dean than Dickhead Dean, goes for many others. Like one bloke I know of on here is a nice person in real life who loves his bike to peices but because of to much of the usual RR many want to give him the boot.
