    Bloody Vodafone

Ok does anyone know what their issue is? I currently receive texts four hours after they had been sent. Sometimes I don't get them for a few days.

I rang Vodafone today only to be told that they know there is a problem and they are working to fix it. So I ask when? The reply.....It's not an easy fix but they are working hard.

I'm getting a little sick and tired of people ringing me thinking that I'm ignoring them. Maybe I am but not the point.

So anyone actually know what is going on and when this problem will be fixed?

I don't know what their problem is, but I am having the same problem here. Sometimes the texts don't go through at all.

SMS is sent 'best effort'. Regardless of the network sendin a text is not going to always get through a second after you sent it. If you need to be sure - call them, you know, voice, what the network was designed to do

    So, the truth comes out!!!!

There is a drama (has been for a few weeks) with Telescum sending to Scodafone (and vice versa). Seems to be quite a delay at times.

Never thought I would say it, but sidewinder is correct, their voice service makes their text service look good. I frequently have to make 3 calls to complete one as the calls drop so frequently. Plus the delays in speach when you can stay connected make conversation difficult.

10yrs ago the mobile service was far superior - that's progress for you I guess.

Vodafone has tricks for that too.

Phone sits on my desk... suddenly I get a txt... I have a voicemail It never rang, now I have to pay to collect the message, then pay for the phone call back to the person...

    Cunning vodafone... very cunning

Yes. My laptop runs with the SIM inside it. Never has a problem. I can't remember the last time I dropped a call... and I never lose text messages.

How many of you are using old shit phones that have probably been dropped every day for the last three years, and are struggling along with a snapped antenna?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.
