I'm sure you will be interested in his toy. Doesn't progress the matter of finding a bike, though.

lol...oh you are so amusing. I have a "toy" already. One really needs to be specific in what one write's around here.
male is bringing over a nice yellow motorcycle. yellow is my favourite colour. It is the bike his daughter (she's 18) has been riding. it is a Honda VTR (whatever that means).

The Honda VTR that your mate is bringing over would make a great learner machine (just as long as it's mechanically sound), so to would the latest Ninja 250, that would be my pick if you have the coin to splash out on one, good resale on the Ninja too, friend of mine had one for 12 months and did 12,000km on it and only lost $1000 of the purchase price which is pretty good I thought.

if that is you in your avatar.. you are not going to have any problem finding help on kiwibiker............

If you can ride... (I havent read the whole thread) then get anything thats gonna suit what you want to do on a bike. If you cant.. get a honda (no one cares if you throw them away) or a suzuki (your expected to throw those away)
Go for a few test rides.. but not too many. Youll just confuse yourself. VTR1000 are not bad bikes.. and you might enjoy the vibration of the V twin. The ER6 (F or N) are great bikes. Anything with a kwaka sticker on it is mint.

(my totally unbiased view voiced above. If you dont like it dont worry, its probably not the first or last time you have been wrong)

Hooligan bikes. They'll have you walking quicker than a quick thing. Best to get a nice, sedate GSXR...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
