Flat-Lift dirtbike lift stand

Decided to make a lift stand for my bike last week as I had a bit of time off. Though I'd try a fancy one, designed to lie as flat as possible pre-lift, the idea being you can push or ride over it rather than moving it round every time you get off. Probly should have looked on the net first as this one does it as well, but my design is fairly diifferent, and possibly better performing, but more difficult to manufacture.

The wooden block in that one is needed to keep the mechanism from locking up at low heights, I'll make up some plastic spacers to bolt on the bottom for a more permanent solution.



lifts the rear wheel clear off the ground, seems pretty stable up there too.

I can upload the plans if anyone wants them, they are in solidworks format atm, but can probly do a dxf or dwg of the main bits if anyone wants.

Any comments/critiques/suggestions, fire away!

finished it off, put some spacers under the lift bit so it doesnt lock at bottom, final height 90mm project a great success

not sure what version you have, think some turbocads can do IGES files, which are a 3d format so much nicer to look at. Otherwise Im pretty sure itll do dxf's or dwg's.

Seems likely, can certainly do a *.dwg.

not too bad, i made a short link that you slot a longer bar into for extra leverage, reckon ill put a few bend in a bit of bar (to get round the footpegs) then have it foot operated. If i were to make it again i'd modify the linkage a bit so its easier to lift the platform off the ground, ill chuck a png of the current/proposed link dimensions up soon, the rest of the stand is pretty easy to figure out the dimensions for. Ill get around to doing some dwg's of it soon as well.

had a go at putting it into a dwg, the link geometry part that is, the rest is all too basic to bother. Turned out pretty shit, can tell what anythings for. If anyone is keen to make or design one, Ill just draw a hand sketch showing how I worked out all the lengths etc and scan that.
