    Demerit points?

I unfortunatly got pinged and was disqaulified for 6 months( two to go) be ready for summer.I also had 80 demerit points. Does anyone know if the loss of licence would also scrub the demerits off?
Annoying if not because it wont take much to cop 20 more points and have another 3 months of bike polishing>

Did whatever you got 'pinged' for give you the demerits?

Or were those demerits there before you got 'pinged'?

Yes, loss of licence usually resets your demerit points back to zero.

Imagine loosing your licence through too many demerit points. You get your licence back, and instantly loose it again because you have the same number of demerit points.

    You lose the first 100

I guess if you have 180 by the time they pluck your licence it must suck when you get it back...

I thought it would depend on why you lost your license. i.e if you lost your license for a dangerous driving charge, (no demerits?) your accrued demerits would still be sitting on your license because you didnt lose your license due to getting 100 demerits but on another offense etc

    but I could be wrong...
