I believe he's getting home tonight - he's certainly full of banter.

There was a bit of discusion at the time of the crash about starting a thread but I remebered unhelpful fuckwit comments being made about my wife when she binned my Ducati and thought Winston should be spared that kind of irritation.

I rode the same piece of road about half an hour before Winston binned and it was treacherous with ice, moss and pea gravel. I therefore believe Winston was just unfortunate.

If I ever bin the LAST place I want it discussed is here - believe me.

    Cheers and Thanks Everyone

Cheers and Thanks Everyone for you kind interest and concern. I finally made it home this afternoon a full 14 days after admission.

I'm exhausted so will post more detail later. Short story - no idea why I came off the bike -> head injury -> fractured C4 vertebrae -> temporary nerve damage (hopefully) -> torn right thumb ligament now stitched back together.

Arm in a sling, philadelphia collar for 6 weeks damn it but hey I'm alive. Thought processes a bit ropy but that will just take time.

    Cheers
    Winston

Hey Winston you're a lawyer, you all have ropey thought processes, at least that bit is still working OK!

Nice to hear that you are back on your feet, hope the good news continues coming in!

It doesn't matter how you came off, it's how you get back on that counts!

Sad to hear of your mishap Winston.
    May your recovery be swift.

It's a shame you can't take those auto morphine drips home with you to alleviate the pain.
