Great bike the ZX9 - loved mine but unfortunately when it came time to upgrade, only real option was a nice 01 with 30k on the clock for $8300, or my 04 R1 for $11,500.

If the ZX9 was $7500 I would have gone for it.

In the end newer, lower kms and modern shape was worth the extra $

.... back in green and feeling great ....

Age is nothing man, my 20 year old GSXR on 89k is still a beaut, runs awesome (although should its oils done every 4k, filter every second oil at 8k)

Not too sure on a VTwin lifespan, guess I will find out as my 03 ST4 ages

Get it mate- it makes ya heart sing, the rest is just politics and semantics
    Just ride.

Ital916; no disrespect man but you're all over the place. We've gone from Hyosung's to Ducati's to this SP1, then over GSX1200's then the Mille's then...

My advice would be to step back, decide what style you want, then what engine config you prefer, then start looking at brands,

    then...

    Go buy the Mille

You may just be taking piss, and keeping conversations alive which is just as cool, and in which case this post in meaningless.
But if not, i think you need to structure a bit more, coz there's a gazillion options.
But only one choice, the Mille.

Haha, Im a kid in a candy store but I know where my heart lies. Though I am having fun flinging between bikes. If you look back far enough you'll see i've had a love affair with the sp1 and the blackbird.

Shit....both of them are hondas.....wheres that closet, I better get back in. The mille is gorgeous but it wouldnt get any use from me, it needs someone to ride the tits of it...why the sp1 then...well when it comes to sp1s then all rationale goes out the window. Hence the blackbird...it can be wild or sedate and does 2 up and and touring and scratching and looks the bizz and makes me jizz my pants. Just need on for the right price to pop up.

Ill tell you what though, the funny thing is, I'm not comfortable test riding bikes. Be it a 50cc scooter or a bigger bike. I just dont like the feeling of riding something that aint mine. If that makes sense.

Post up a pic of your mille if you want n we can all have a drool over it!

Another funny thing is, I like quiet bikes that have a nice sound when opened up...if that makes sense.

Yeah and Vanilla Ice rode a GSXR in his movie and even that couldn't make him cool. But then GSXR's don't make anyone cool.

Have we met before? Q+A whack a mole is integral to the existence of KB! Just like how we play whack-a-troll and burn the witches, crush the cruisers, honda homaphobia 2: vtec to to the future and so on.

Personally I like the VTR too but it doesn't have a lot of loyal followers. Talk to Nighthawk - he changed his one for a Ducati ST4S. If I may gently suggest, what VTR owners actually want is a Ducati.

You can buy a 2001 Ducati ST4 with 20K for the same money as the VTR. Seriously - that isn't even a choice. The Duc is sex on a stick.......sob....and my ones broken....snivvel....
