    As luck would have it...

In general I am not a crazy rider - rather conservative in fact many might say...

But every so often, the demons get loose (forgot the pills again dinn'e?) and the envelope gets a little nudge...

Such was the case this morning. 45 minutes to ride in. And a little pissed off about certain events of last evening...so there was a bit of aggression present that is not usually there...

On a fairly isolated back road, that has some rather attractive sweepy-twisty bits on it, I let the hounds run a little more freely than is usual. Found myself exiting this stretch at a velocity that was just a tad over the recommended rate...

Comes the intersection with the more major road. Slow to stop. Look up to see the LEO car turning into the road I have just exited... two minutes earlier on his part or two minutes later on my part and things could have got just a little sticky...

Some days we get lucky. Better be good from now on... (I suppose)

Yea, done the same on Xmas day heading to Wanganui. If he had been 2 mins earlier, things would not have been so good, that day. It made me behave myself the rest of the trip tho.

Once I was passing a line of cars in a passing lane on SH1, got up to licence losing speeds, slowed down back to 110km/h after passing the cars and immediately a cop car comes around the bend going the other way. If he was 10 seconds earlier...

If I had a $ for every time that has happened to me I would be rich!

The reason I am not rich is because they got more than a $ for every time it didn't!
